Things to remember:
I love New York because it’s hard and it makes me feel like a real person. Part of me worries that it’s a false struggle, but you know what? Fuck the invalidation of struggles. It’s my struggle and I am keeping it. I have to stay on this path and do this work because giving up and moving back to where I began would destroy me.

Never Mind The Buzzcocks is coming to the US? YAY!... →
Britain’s music quiz show phenomenon has hit America. Buzzcocks is a half hour of fun that puts comedy, music and pop culture in a crazed environment. Hosted by comedian Marc Maron, the show will have everyone laughing and playing along.
That happened a long time ago… I bet they are just dusting off what they filmed with Maron and then getting another host if it does okay.
He’s...

COMEDIANS ON RELIGION (one)

A post for Anna.
This is all I managed to find in my bookmarks for now, but as I come across others I will add them.
Religion has had its day. (Argumental) Marcus Brigstocke argues FOR while Rory McGrath argues AGAINST on Argumental, a comedy debate show shown on UK television channels Dave and BBC2.
The theory of evolution is nonsense. (Argumental) Dara O’Briain...

But Seriously Mike Short: Fucking come on already. →
I am going to subversively say Mithras Christmas to people this year! Muahahaha!
I honestly don’t give a shit if people say it to me, unless they’re saying it with some implied vitriol. I don’t say “Merry Christmas” to other people, because I am an atheist and it feels disingenuous to say it. However I still celebrate it with my family, because I think the...

The first three full episodes of Sherlock are viewable on the PBS site until 12/27. Watch ‘em all! They’re great! This is the first episode. First and third episodes are the strongest. Might take a bit for the Sherlock character to grow on you. Don’t wait for Katey to have to remind you to check them out.
It’s true!

I feel compelled to add
That if I ever managed to even see any of the Kids in the Hall, I will not be able to control myself and I will literally cum a pegasus from excitement.

Namedroppy McNamedroperson
I try to avoid doing that, but I semi-regularly work with comedy heroes of mine, which is fucking insane when you think about it. Yes, they are usually interacting with me in ‘turn those lights on real good, tech individual’, but fuck it, it’s a thing I do and try to do well. Anywhozzles, I mention it tonight because Michael Ian Black was a guest on two different shows I...
Best exchange? Or bestest exchange?
Sherlock: "Shut up everybody, shut up! Don't move, don't speak, don't breathe, I'm trying to think. Anderson, face the other way, you're putting me off."
Anderson: "What, my face is?"
Lestrade: "Everyboody, quiet. Anderson, turn your back."
Anderson: "Oh, for God's sake..."
Lestrade: "Your back! Now, please!"

Best sentences
Sometimes I play a game where I read random wikipedia articles until I find the best sentences of all time. My find for the day:
One was Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About, published in 2005. The book was criticised for containing no natural cures.
From the entry on informercialist and convicted felon Kevin Trudeau.
